Biography

Brett began his working career in the logging industry where he remained for 25 years. When a maintenance position became available at Skawahlook First Nation he decided to change career paths. He began working for Sq’ewá:lxw in 2001 performing his daily maintenance duties such as yard maintenance, janitorial and a variety of other handyman jobs.

As a long-time resident of Sq’ewá:lxw First Nation, Brett has personal knowledge of the history of Sq’ewá:lxw’s traditional territory.

Brett is the community fisherman and also finds enjoyment in hunting and football. He has a son, Josh, two daughters, Leah and Stephanie, and is the proud Papa of 9 grandchildren: Caleb, Riordan, Thorsten, Trinity, Jocelyn, Madison, Trey, Cameron and Kennedy.
