Sharron has always strived to work with First Nations people which directed her degree at UBC and her pursuit of a Masters degree of Business Administration and Leadership at SFU. She worked for a short time at Stō:lo Nation in the Halq’eméylem and taxation department and then pursued her career here, in her community of Sq’ewá:lxw First Nation, where she has been working since 2003. Sharron has worked mainly in administration and finances throughout her career while taking on a more active leadership role within the management of the Nation. She loves learning about the history of her community, watching it grow and has been very privileged to work with Sq’ewá:lxw members. Sharron is currently sitting as the Chair on the Stō:lo Service Agency Operational Board of Directors which has been a fantastic learning experience.
Most importantly she would like to recognize her greatest blessing and accomplishment, her family. After being married to her high school sweetheart since 2001 and having 2 girls, Sharron believes the majority of her experience has come from them.
